120/208 single phase vs 120/240- 110/115/1 = all the same, different terminology Seems to me that in the 60's, 110 was the standard number Todays standard is 1 A) 1/240 single phase = two hot legs @ appx 1 to gnd, 240 between them Standard residential and small commercial system B) 1/240 3 phase = Usually referred to here as "3 phase Delta" Two hot legs @ appxVoltage between High leg and Neutral = 1/2 x 2V x √3 = 8V (1Φ) Voltage between two Hot Phases = 1V x 2 = 240V (1Φ) Voltage between three Phases = 240V (3Φ) These are the general setup and may vary and depend on the installation eg neutral wire may be needed for three phase 240V outlets etc
